In 2006, SEIEC moved the location of the Annual Meeting to the Little Chapel Church in an effort to improve the access for senior and handicapped individuals, acoustic quality, logistics, comfort and location.  As it turned out, there were 1,298 registered members who attended the 2006 Annual Meeting with an overall attendance of approximately 2,000 people and the overall response to the new location was very positive.  As a result, SEIEC will hold the 2007 Annual Members' Meeting at the Little Chapel Church (located approximately 3 ½ miles north of Harrisburg on Route 34) again this year on August 7, 2007.

Members who attend the annual meeting will receive a $15 credit on their power bill, receive an attendance prize and be eligible to have their name drawn for a number of prizes, including the chance to win one of four $250 cash awards.  Children under the age of 13 are eligible to register for and possibly win one of ten gift certificates with a value of $25 each.

Entertainment and registration will begin at 6:00 p.m and the business session begins at 7:00 p.m.  During the business session, members will learn about the Cooperative's past year of operation and the ways your Cooperative is working to improve the service provided while keeping rates as competitive as possible.  In addition, they will be able to participate in the process of selecting four individuals to serve on the Cooperative's Board of Trustees.

The theme of SEIEC's 2007 Annual Members' Meeting is entitled "Stability and Vision …In a World of Change".  As all of you know, the electric utility industry has been experiencing significant changes in the past and will continue to face new challenges in the future.  Fortunately, as a Cooperative Member, you haven't been exposed to some of the drastic changes that are affecting the investor owned utility customers.
